Take part in Earth Science Week during 13-19  October 2013 by participating in a district visit. This year’s event will promote awareness of the many exciting uses of maps and mapping technologies in the geosciences.

Promote the Importance of Geoscience to Society

Meet with your congressional representatives when they are at home in their districts during the first ever Geoscience Congressional District Visits Days (GEO-DVD), 13 -19 October, and let them know why geoscience is important on a local, national, and global scale. GEO-DVD coincides with Earth Science Week, an annual event when geoscience activities will be taking place across the nation.
