Draft National Space Weather Strategy

The National Science and Technology Council Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Sustainability Subcommittee on Disaster Reduction requests public comments on the draft 2015 National Space Weather Strategy.

The goal of the strategy is to “enhance the integration of existing national efforts and add important capabilities to help meet growing demands for space weather information.” The strategy sets national goals and guiding principles to help safeguard critical national technology infrastructure that is vulnerable to impacts from space weather.

AGU would like to encourage members with expertise in space weather to contribute to this important document. See the Federal Register notice for additional details. Responses must be received by 29 May to be considered.
