AGU Science Policy Alert 15-1

Calling All Scientists!

The White House needs your story for the President’s upcoming State of the Union (SOTU) address on 20 January 2015.

Do you have an intriguing story about how your federally supported science has helped or advanced our nation? Has a government program or grant enabled you to conduct groundbreaking or innovative research?

Conversely, are you a mid-career scientist who is finding it difficult to secure research funding? Are you an early-career researcher who studied in the U.S. but is looking at positions in foreign countries? Are you a student who is who is second-guessing your decision to study in a particular field due to uncertain funding?

These are just a few examples of the stories that the White House needs in preparation for the SOTU.

Please reply to this email with your (succinct) story, and don’t forget to share them on the “Share Your Story” page in AGU’s Policy Action Center.
