Share Your Science with Policy Makers in D.C.
AGU, in collaboration with other geoscience societies, invites geoscientists to come to Washington, D.C., for the annual Geosciences Congressional Visits Day (Geo-CVD) on 10-11 September 2019. Decision makers need to hear from geoscientists to know the value of Earth and space science for their districts and states. Join your colleagues for this two-day event uniting geoscience researchers, professionals, students, educators, engineers, and executives in Washington, D.C., to raise visibility and support for the geosciences.
The goal of Geo-CVD is to help build relationships between Earth and space scientists and policy makers. Over time, these relationships grow, and you can become a “go-to” expert when a congressional office needs critical geoscience information.
Financial support is available for students, community college faculty, and underrepresented candidates.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, 24 July 2019.
