Rebecca French

Rebecca French is AGU’s 36th Congressional Science Fellows and worked in the office of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. Her term marked the 34th year that AGU has sponsored a Fellow and the second year that AGU has sponsored two Fellows concurrently.

French completed her Ph.D. in Geosciences at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, studying the effects of nanominerals on toxic metals in river systems.

She currently is a AAAS S&T Policy Fellow at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the Office of Research and Development.
